Yosemite Bank will be sponsoring the poem writing contest as they have done for the past eleven years.  We have had great participation from all the students with hundreds of poems submitted for judging.  Yosemite Bank will be awarding $50.00 Savings Bonds and other great Prizes.  The rules for the contest are as follows: Poems to be on 8 1/2 X 11 size paper with name of student on back of entry with school, teacher, grade and home phone number where student can be reached.   Artwork with poems is encouraged.  Poems should be given to Yosemite Bank in Coarsegold  or Zanders Coffee in The Village, no later than Wednesday, 21 October, 2009.  The winners will be notified before the festival so that the student can plan to come and read their poem on stage at the festival.   If you have any questions regarding the festival or any of the contests, please call: Eva at Yosemite Bank ...642-1710  or Diane Boland at Coarsegold Historic Village ...683-3900
